Jon was born and raised in Stillwater Minnesota. Jon and his wife Michelle have been married since 1989, and have two children - Desiray and Nick - and two sweet granddaughters, Lucy and Novalee.

Outside of the office, you can find Jon watching sports (particularly hockey), playing golf, fishing, traveling, and most importantly… spending time with his family.

Dan has been employed with First State Bank and Trust since 1992, of which the majority of his time has been as a mortgage loan officer. It has been amazing to watch the bank grow over the years into what it is today. The ability to meet clients’ needs utilizing competitive products in a “small-town,” friendly atmosphere, is what Dan enjoys the most. We are truly what people can consider their hometown bank.

Dan grew up in Bayport and currently resides in Stillwater with his wife, Lori, of 25 years and three children – Jake, Seth, and Ruth. He enjoys singing and playing guitar as well as doing house projects that involve using his construction skills. Dan looks forward every year to traveling with the whole family to new and exciting destinations.

Samantha (Sam) has been involved with the financial world nearly her entire life. Whether it was growing up watching her parents run a successful local business or becoming a part-time teller in high school for a local bank- she knew she would be making an impact in the financial sector someday. She graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota - Duluth with a degree in finance and has since grown into a well-versed commercial and mortgage lender. In her role, Sam will work hand-in-hand with you to provide an exceptional lending experience. It is her passion to tailor the loan process to each client to ensure you feel a personal connection with First State Bank and Trust.

Outside the office, you might meet Sam in the woods; camping, hiking, or reading a good book. She and her husband, Luke, enjoy adventuring around the world exploring new places.

Alexa is a lifelong native of the area, born and raised in Hudson. She grew up locally with entrepreneurial parents that have been in mortgage lending, real estate, and even business endeavors in Africa. Having inspiration from her parents to try new things, her diverse work experiences, ranging from being a waitress to founding her own marketing business, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to her pursuits.

Graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in just three years with a communications degree, Alexa is now embarking on a career in mortgage lending, motivated to make a meaningful impact. In her role as a mortgage lender at First State Bank and Trust, Alexa will provide personalized advice and guidance, helping customers make informed decisions about their home financing options. By being knowledgeable, responsive, transparent, and customer-focused, she will provide high levels of satisfaction to her customers, helping them achieve their dream of homeownership.
