Chris Mayer

Chris Mayer has more than 15 years of commercial banking experience and specializes in commercial and investment real estate lending, SBA lending, construction financing, and business lending. Throughout his career, Chris has worked closely with business owners, real estate investors, and developers to provide financing solutions that support growth, expansion, and long-term success. He is passionate about building strong relationships and serving as a trusted resource for his clients through every stage of their business journey.

Chris joined First State Bank and Trust in 2026 and serves clients from our Bayport and Oak Park Heights offices. He takes pride in helping local businesses and communities thrive by delivering responsive service, practical guidance, and customized lending solutions tailored to each client's unique needs.

Chris grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a degree in Finance. He and his family currently reside in Lake Elmo, where they are actively involved in the community.

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and Bernedoodle pup. When they are not busy with t-ball, soccer, or gymnastics, Chris enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, and making memories with his family on Beaver Dam Lake in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
